Yoga for the Airway
Time & Location
About the Event
You may already know that yoga can help reduce stress and anxiety, but did you know it can also help those who snore, struggle with sleep apnea or issues with TMJ? In this 1 hour workshop, Dr. Jeffrey Dolgos will be sharing insight into how the jaw and airway function, and provide a facial and throat yoga practice demonstrating how to bring awareness and balance to them to release tension to help you sleep better! Practicing yoga daily teaches you how to breathe from the diaphragm, which may reduce the blockages to your airway that causes Sleep Apnea, a potentially serious sleep disorder that causes the throat muscles intermittently to relax and block your airway during sleep. It is also helpful to give smaller muscles a workout specifically, your mouth, throat, and tongue which can call affect your ability to get the deep, restorative sleep you need for optimal health and wellbeing. This is a FREE workshop, but space is limited so registration is required.
