As part of our commitment to help Buffalo heal through the power of sleep, we provide a FREE Chakra Tune Up Yoga Class for select groups at START WITH SLEEP. This is offered for non-profit groups.

Class Theme: In this yoga practice we will bring awareness to each of seven major hubs of energy in our mind/body/ souls systems. These hubs or wheels are called chakras and when energy can flow through them with ease, we enjoy radiant health and contentment. Through awareness and movement we will check in with each of these centers within us moving from the root chakra to the crown. Leave feeling safer, wiser, more confident, compassionate, expressive, grounded and connected.

Also referred to as Essential Oil Therapy, can be defined as the art and science of utilizing naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to balance, harmonize and promote the health of body, mind and spirit.

Essential oils are renowned for their immune-supporting and emotion balancing qualities. When used safely, it is a simple and pleasant way to support optimal health.

Join us for a sensory experience where we guide you through the journey of essential oil therapy that aids in not only reducing anxiety but helps to induce sleep and boost energy levels throughout the day.

 

We will explore its benefits, safety recommendations and how this non-invasive form of therapy can supplement everyday ailments such as headaches to strengthening the immune system.

 

We know not getting adequate sleep at night can devoid us of energy throughout the day. Learn to balance your sleep schedule and realign natural body rhythms so that you are able to embrace sleep throughout the night and create energy filled mornings.

Never go to sleep without a request to your subconscious. At nightfall when we are tired from the day we often fall into the trap of harnessing negative thoughts and experiences from the day. Learning to redirect our focus towards positive thinking will not only improve the quality of our lives but the relationship we have with both sleep and ourselves.

 

Our mindset component will help you tap into your senses to consciously create the positive energy needed to live a more abundant life. In this workshop we will take part in self-assessments that help us direct the power of our thoughts, set intentions for ourselves and to develop a mantra that will allow to walk on the path of mindfulness.

 It is said that we spend or at least should spend about 1/3 of our life sleeping. Statistically speaking that means we spend as much or more time in our beds and bedrooms as we do anywhere else, so it is important to make sure that our sleep environment is promoting health in as many ways as possible. The comfort we feel in our bedroom environment has a direct impact on the quality of our sleep, which can help increase the length of the hours we get each night.

 

When it comes to evaluating your sleep environment, you should follow the senses- sight, touch, taste, hear and smell. When evaluating our health, the things around us could be playing a larger role than we realize, starting with the quality of air in our home. 

 

Plants are a great addition to our home and sleep environment! They not only oxygenate your home, and release humidity into the air but help clear out these toxins that could be causing everything from issues with allergies and coughs to headaches.  Join us as we discuss the 12 best plants as rated by NASA research for sleep.
